Swaniti Initiative aims to strengthen public service delivery by working with state and local governments across South Asia with a strong focus on India. Our interventions have included strengthening scheme implementation by identifying current gaps and limitations, providing research support to Hon’ble Members of Parliament about best practices in moving forward, and developing data-technology tools that can back decision-making processes. At present, along with working with 200+ Hon’ble Members of Parliamentarians for policy making, are working as advisors to state governments to ensure the delivery of schemes to the last mile. Major verticals of our work are climate and sustainability, social protection, and livelihood.
Job Summary:
Swaniti Initiative is seeking a dynamic and motivated Associate to oversee the implementation of social protection schemes in Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri. The role requires working closely with implementation partners, PRI members, and government departments to ensure the smooth execution of field activities. The ideal candidate should have experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building in the social development sector. This position requires frequent travel to field locations to monitor activities and engage with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
● Stakeholder & Partner Management:
○Manage relationships with implementation partners in Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri, ensuring effective collaboration and smooth execution of field activities.
○Build a strong and sustainable partnership ecosystem to enhance long-term impact.
●Capacity Building & Training:
○Identify training needs for implementation partners, PRI members, and relevant government departments based on project goals.
○Organize and facilitate capacity-building sessions for stakeholders to improve service delivery and implementation efficiency.
●Project Implementation & Coordination:
○Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day implementation of field activities.
○Ensure project milestones are met within the agreed timeline and budget.
○Address and resolve challenges that arise during project execution, escalating issues when necessary.
○Conduct regular field visits to implementation sites to ensure quality execution and stakeholder engagement.
●Monitoring & Compliance:
○Maintain accurate records of project activities, decisions, and outcomes.
○Ensure all project documentation is complete, up-to-date, and stored appropriately.
○Ensure compliance with Swaniti Initiative’s standards and government regulations.
●Financial & Contractual Coordination:
○Coordinate contract agreements with implementation partners, ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines.
○Oversee invoicing processes, ensuring timely submission and disbursement of payments as per contract terms.
○Maintain accurate financial records related to partner contracts and project expenditures.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills Required:
● Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Rural Development, or a related field.
● Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, field operations, or working with government programs.
●Strong experience in stakeholder engagement, especially with local governance structures and community-based organizations.
● Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
● Proficiency in data management, documentation, and reporting.
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
