SQL Server Database Administrator (Hyderabad)
Role: SQL Server Database Administrator.

The successful candidate will be working as a member the Database Administration Team, for one of our major client. Candidate will be supporting and managing enterprise Microsoft SQL Server databases.

The post-holder will have previous experience in enterprise database management.
Location: Hyderabad, India

Required Experience
Key Responsibilities:
Sound experience (minimum 3 years) of following
Installing, configuring, and managing MS SQL Server 2008, 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2012 databases.
MS SQL Server High Availability solutions, Always On
SQL Server backup, restoration, patching and upgrades of databases (including DR).
Performing replication, clustering, performance tuning and optimization (query optimization, index tuning)
Transaction Log shipping and SQL mirroring
Duties will include:
SQL Server Support and Maintenance

User Support and interface maintenance
Performance Monitoring and Tuning

Troubleshooting and debugging

Production implementation

Process monitoring

Upgrades

General Application Support

Out of hours Support

Recommend and monitor best practices and standards

Job requirements

Strong T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS experience

Replication, Mirroring and Clustering

Backup and Restore with Log Shipping

Query optimisation, Performance Tuning

Server and SQL Monitoring and configuration

Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and debugging skills

Working knowledge of any of the following would also be particularly valuable:

Microsoft Business Intelligence

Microsoft Data Quality and Master Data Services

Managing SharePoint Databases

VMware
