Position – Site Engineer (MEP)Experience – 5 to 6 yearsJob Function : Engg Designs/ Engg. project Mgmt. / site Engg.Industry : Engineering Design Services Consultancy / ProjectsSpecialization : Building / Residential , Commercial ,Role : Site Engineer, MEPQualification : BE / B.Tech ( Engineering ) (MECHANICAL )
Knowledge On HVAC1. Heating & Cooling load calculation using HAP, Trace 700 and Elite.2. Formulation and calculation of ventilation system load.3. Selection of HVAC Equipment.4. Preparation of Duct and pipe design layout and quantity take off.5. Static pressure calculation, Pump Head Calculation, staircase pressurization & lift lobby pressurization system and Toilet exhaust system.6. Preparation of Schematics for each system and developing single line design markup for drawing. Assigning duct levels, preparing duct cross section, equipment, grill schedules and isometric drawings for CHW, piping & cross section for the pump room and plant room.7. Preparation of input /output statement for HVAC Equipment to design BMS Systems.8. Identifying the interferences between different services, coordination as per the other services with the Architectural/Structural plan and generating the sections as required.9. Knowledge on HVAC Systems as per IS, NBC, ASHRAE, ISHRAE etc10. Perform the tasks of developing, preparing and maintaining the budgets and schedules of projects.11. Working experience on Hospitals, Education Building, Retail, Infra structure, High raised mixed commercial.12. Have basic knowledge on Electrical, Plumbing and Firefighting services and BMS Systems.Responsibilities1. Get approved HVAC Shop Drawings, MEP- Coordination Drawings, Work method statement and Project Specification from Project Engineer.2. Ensure the HVAC Ducts, Fittings, accessories and Child water pipes, fittings, accessories are available and approved by Inspection department prior to installation3. Ensure sufficient hand tools, power tools, ladder and scaffolding are available for installation4. Coordinate with other discipline and ensure site clearance is available to start the HVAC Activities5. Arrange the sufficient manpower such as Supervisor, Foreman, Duct fitter, pipe fitter, Assistant duct and pipe fitter etc.., and ensure all of them attended safety orientation and having proper PPE’s prior start installation activities at site6. Provide approved HVAC Shop drawing, MEP Co-ordination Drawing to site supervisor (or) Foreman and inform them to shift the required ducting and piping approved material from warehouse to site and arrange required material to avoid progress delay.7. Prior to start HVAC activities notify to QC Personal for surveillance to ensure the quality work8. To maintain safe all construction HVAC and Chilled water piping activities are carried out in accordance with the Company’s safety policies and procedures; ensure that appropriate safety and protective equipment is used by Company & Contractor staff.9. Closely monitor site activities to ensure quality of work is in compliance with approved shop drawing and Specification and get daily progress report from site supervisor (or) foreman and update to project Engineer (or) Manager10. Preparing relevant documents to conduct inspection for completed installation activities and raise RFI to QC-Inspector (To ensure that any activity offered for inspection has an attachment of IFC drawing, method statement (if required), Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) followed by check list)11. Carry out all planned site inspections as per the intervention points marked in the relevant drawing and standard12. Preparing the relevant documents to Conduct Testing inspection such as Duct light testing for Ducts and Hydro test for Above ground and Underground chilled water piping’s, systems.13. Active involvement in weekly meetings with the Project management & QC Supervisor and manager to resolve the site related issues.14. Assist the Commissioning Team in Pre-commissioning & Commissioning stages of all HVAC Equipment’s.15. Assist the Commissioning Team on Testing, Adjusting & Balancing (TAB) stages of the Air and Hydronic Piping’s.16. Assist the Project Engineer during Preparation of final Test Reports, as built drawings, Operation & Maintenance manual and handing over the project to client.Knowledge On Fire FightingKnowledge in Designing Fire systems as per IS, NBC, NFPA & BS Standards.Knowledge in plotting Hydrant system, Sprinkler system, Extinguishing layout, Fire Alarm, Public address system.Knowledge in pumping system Requirements along with calculations.Preparation of Estimations, QDS & BOQ’sShould be conversant & hand on experience with latest flow & hydraulic calculation software, ability to understand drawing in the software.Should be able to attend the Design review meetings and shall also address site related activities.Should have good knowledge in evaluating shop drawings.Should have work experience in Residential, Commercial, Hospital & Industrial buildings.Responsibilities1. Provide technical support to architects, engineers and experts to strengthen all fire protection designs.2. Prepare technical data and assist teams in processing of surveys on critical fire protection engineering matters which provide good impact on up-to-date regional programs.3. Administer all fire protection policies and fire code in an organized way.4. Participate in various special assignments in relation to fire safety.5. Monitor and conduct Fire Hazard Analysis and maintain record for technical evaluation.6. Document all written rules for fire safety contractors.7. Perform research and upgradation all new application to improve the quality of Novec 12308. liquid to extinguish fire.9. Administer and recommend improvements to military and aerospace application systems for saving vehicles, aircraft and military aviation fire protection.10. Prepare and deliver documents in global venues on process upgrade for all fire protection program development.11. Provide technical support to industry on 3Ms products to clean all equipments and products.12. Assist and monitor work of employees to ensure protection of life and property in compliance with fire code.13. Analyze and recommend improvements fire safety plan and prepare plan according to NEP rules, insurance firm and industry code for safety of property and life of humans from fire.14. Evaluate performance of engineers and ensure fulfillment of fire protections needs.15. Identify dangerous and risky electrical areas depending on references and recommendations of NEPA and APL.16. Prepare and update sheets of engineering manpower install all fire protection facilities and particiapate in bids for future program.Knowledge On Plumbing1. Prepare detail layout plans for all drainage and water supply systems for all residential and official buildings.2. Perform regular inspection on all equipments and materials and assist in fabrication of same if required.3. Manage and perform tests on various materials and equipments and maintain knowledge on all product specifications and ensure adherence to all required standards.4. Collaborate with various teams to design all architectural and electrical requirements for all plumbing projects.5. Assist to allocate appropriate CAD design for all activities and ensure compliance to all client timeframe.6. Evaluate all design drawings according to required quality regulations.7. Monitor installation and perform tests on various water and sewage lines for all residential and commercial buildings.8. Install various commission pumps.9. Administer all plumbing work and provide certification to all contractor bills.10. Perform regular inspection al materials and works for all plumbing activities.11.
