Job Description:
Proficient with the Linux OS and scripting

Provide infrastructure operations support and administration of the 11.5+ DataStage environments. This includes setting up and testing new installations of DataStage, QualityStage, Information Data Architect, Fastrak, Information Governance Catalog and Information analyzer

Engineer and Install/upgrade Information Server product suite. Post install Configuration, various data sources configuration for the plug-ins, connectors as well as ODBC configurations

Stop/start services, monitor logs, setting up Security, assigning roles, project permissions, Create/Delete projects, create/modify environmental parameters etc.

Monitor the InfoSphere suite (Data Stage/Quality Stage) servers. Kill/assist release job locks, shared memory locks, hung processes etc.

Apply fixes, patches and service packs as required. Ensure infrastructure and application stability through preventative maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing long term solutions

Open PMRs as needed to support developer questions

Remediate vulnerabilities identified by security scans

Familiarity with security practices for database connectivity using firewalls and AD groups

Must be able to communicate effectively with people of varying technical abilityHigh proficiency in designing, developing, integrating and deploying enterprise applications.

Broad experience in web services/SOA distributed applications including Websphere Integration products (WMB V8, MQ, ESB, DataPower).
Experience in a broad variety of integration techniques, patterns, tools and methodologies
Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills
Demonstrate oral and written communication skills in addition to being able to interact effectively with a variety of people
Present a professional, competent, and confident image in dealing with people
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrate proficiency for trouble shooting, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills

Prior work experience and educational requirements

2+ years hands-on design, development, integration and deployment experience in enterprise applications
Experience reviewing functional requirements (Use Cases)
Experience documenting technical detailed design artifacts (UML experience a plus)
Understanding of Retail IT and Supply Chain processes is a plus
Knowledge of databases (Oracle, DB/2, SQL Server)
Experience implementing IBM Message Broker V 8, IIB, solutions with JDBC, ODBC, WSDL, Web Services, XML, XSD, XSL
Experience with Datapower a plus

Bachelors and/or Masters’ Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
