In our new Electric Vehicle Business Line (EVBL) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.

We are looking for:
A Senior project Quality Engineer to join our team at the battery factory in Uusikaupunki.
This role you will manage and sustain the quality in all development phases of the project and ensure the compliance to the relevant standards (e.g. IATF16949, VDA, ISO9001, ISO14001, etc.) and customer requirements but also EVS internal requirements. You hope are familiar with documentation tools. You ensure quality planning, testing and status monitoring in the development phase including supplier parts in close co-operation with the supplier quality management. We hope you can manage hectic working environment where time schedule is often tight and needs to be fulfilled.
You act as an expert with Control Plans, PFMEAs, process validation, traceability and ensure all needed quality process are in place. In cooperation with the laboratory you will ensure that testing methods and processes are valid and reviewed correctly in time. You will monitor the production process stability and escalate issues as needed. Ideally, you are able to utilize Six Sigma tools to improve manufacturing and quality processes.

What we expect:
– A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or other relevant subject and experience in similar work environment
– Knowledge of quality systems and processes in manufacturing environment
– Initiative and hands on approach to daily tasks
– Knowledge of quality control methods, tools and techniques
– Networking and problem-solving skills
– Fluent spoken and written English
– Six Sigma Green or Black belt
