Job: Database Administrator

Overview of the Role

Manages, maintains, and secures data systems so that users can perform business-related functions. Responsible for data storage, organization, display, utilization, and analysis from a technological standpoint.

Location: Patna, Bihar

Qualifications:

• BE/MCA or equivalent with specialization in computers
• PostgreSQL RDBMS Database Administration
• EDB PostgreSQL Certification is preferable.
• Atleast 7 years of experience as a DBA of PostgreSQL in production environment

Key Responsibilities

• PostgreSQL Database DBA on Linux
• The job includes working with the various technology teams, vendors, and management of new hardware and operating systems infrastructure.
• Responsible for the installation, configuration database servers /Replication, Pgpool etc.
• Responsible for interacting with DB OEM team for raising tickets & get resolutions.
• Responsible for monitoring & maintaining database servers in Development, QA, Staging & Production environment.
• Atleast 7 years of experience as a DBA of PostgreSQL in production environment including backup recovery, replication, high availability, monitoring diagnosing and optimizing database performance.
• Ability to detect and troubleshoot database-related CPU, memory, IO, disk space, and other resource
• contention issues.
• Proficient with database tuning and use of PostgreSQL tools such as PgBadger, EDBs PgStatsPack, EDBs DRITA
• Proficient with PostgreSQL replication technologies Binary Streaming Replication, xDB Replication,
• Logical Replication
• Proficient with PostgreSQL networking, HBA and connection pooling (PgBouncer, PgPool)
• Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery and replication solutions and best practices
• Demonstrated experience implementing deploying database servers.
• Expertise in writing SQL queries, analyzing query performance using query plans and tuning query
• performance.
• Database Performance Tuning and Optimization, using native monitoring and 3rd party tools.
• Strong communications skills and ability to document and present complex designs to a wider audience.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to ₹1,200,000.00 per year
