Job Description

• Should have technical skills in the operation and maintenance of Fibre & transmission systems covering performance monitoring, troubleshooting, testing, hardware installation & Commissioning etc.
• Hands on experience in all kind of transmission equipment’s and TMI instruments.
• Skills in handling different test equipment such OTDR, Splicing machine, optical power meter, etc.
• Provide 24×7 emergency call-outs to NOC and other teams for O&M activities in network.

Vendor management, payments, and performance analysis.

Excellent communications skills, analytical problem solving, planning, organizing & documentation. Maintain excellent connect with the client and internal stakeholders

• Operation & Maintenance of Equipment like DWDM, SDH etc.
• Operation & Maintenance of Power system.
• Network Project Implementations: Duct laying, Optical Fiber blowing, Link loss measurement.

Major Responsibilities

• Candidate must lead the team at least min. 5 to 6 members. He can be able to manage contractors and vendors for day-day operations to achieve the targets.
• Should generate reports and MIS as per the TL9000 Process.
• Able to work in pressure and conflict management.
• O&M of backbone OFC, Site Infrastructure (DG, AMF, SMPS etc.) & backbone equipment (NEC-Huawei DWDM, U-NODE, Alcatel SDH equipment., FMS etc.)
• Ownership of network uptime to laid standards and taking continuous performance improvement initiatives.
• Escalation handling & coordination with NOC for fault management/Service Assurance and Provisioning.
• Managing and motivating the FRT team in the route.
• Ownership of “As Builds” repository for the route.
• Ownership of “Right of Way” for the route.
• Material & Spares Management at OSP/ISP Depots on the route.
• Handling OSP, Facility contractors and equipment vendors in route & rating their performance as per SLA
• Ensuring Preventive & Proactive Maintenance & upkeep of assets in the route.
• Ensuring cost control and optimization measures. Maintaining expenses records for route.
• Coordinating with network providers, network partners and government agencies to save the faults.
