Senior Analyst (Server Administration)

Technical Infrastructure (TI) is the team within Global IM that manages personal productivity applications, team productivity applications, and the core infrastructure for business application that help ensure our colleagues, partners, and even customers have reliable and secure access to the information needed on a daily basis.
In this role you will be an Individual Contributor having opportunity to work with a product based organization which offers exposure to latest technologies. You will be managing Advanced Server Administration.
You will be based in Chakan, Pune

What You Will Do

As Senior Analyst, you will:

• Troubleshoot issues reported on Windows Sever OS, VMware, vSphere etc.
• Be responsible for mentoring L1 & L2 resources by working along in troubleshooting and implementations.
• Work on Problem cases for troubleshooting complex cases.
• Work on Change requests & knowledge on CAB process.
• Coordinate with various groups and perform troubleshoot on production Systems / Servers problems and provide resolution.
• Collaborate with team and conduct knowledge sharing sessions.
• Be part of project resource involved in design and project implementation.

Who You Are

We believe you have:

• A Bachelors Degree with 4 or more years experience in Server administration
• Advanced knowledge of and ability to support and troubleshoot VMware vSphere environment (ESXi, vCenter) – sufficient expertise in Linux to be able to manage ESXI from the CLI. Experience with VDI (Horizon) is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of and ability to support and troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems
• Hands on experience on Virtualization and enterprise storage plat-forms (SAN/NAS). Understanding of concepts such as thin and thick provisioning, volume deduplication and compression
• Hands on experience and good understanding of enterprise solutions (servers/blades, SAN/NAS, basic switching)
• Strong understanding on TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and overall networking.
• Familiarity with Management and Security requirements of a Virtual Infrastructure.
• Familiarity with server and virtual infrastructure monitoring tools such as SCOM, vROPS
• Knowledge on P2V Migration and other migration tools like VMotion, Live Migration etc.
• Prior experience with data center hardware (racks, HVAC, power distribution and UPS) and environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, surveillance).
