Job Description
Provide technical support for the company’s MS SQL Server databases and associated technologies (Advantage) SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, including all SQL versions (from 2000 to 2019).
Install database systems and coordinating installation with the Business and Vendors.
Perform database upgrades, monitoring, maintenance, resource management, capacity planning and performance tuning.
Maintain security and overall reliability of all database platforms.
Apply patches to fix bugs and/or enhance functionality and security as required and in conjunction with the company’s procedures for change control.
Perform code promotions in compliance with the company’s procedures for change control.
Work with various internal teams such as windows, storage, backup & network administration teams to coordinate and troubleshoot infrastructure related issues.
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for critical production databases and applications.
Ability to work independently and multi task as required.
Provide afterhours support as required and be part of on-call rotation 24×7 including weekends.
Availability to work in the Europe / United States time zones as part of the Global SQL team.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

5-8 years’ experience with SQL Server database administration is required.
