As the Manager of TI’s Demand Analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our demand planning and inventory buffer strategies. You will be leading a team of highly technical professionals that will consists of application developers, system architects, data scientists and data engineers. This role will be responsible for driving the development of innovative solutions that solve complex problems and deliver tangible business value. This position requires a dynamic leader with a strong technical background in AI/ML, simulation solutions, strategic thinking, and a passion for driving results. This team is responsible for: portfolio management for demand forecasting algorithms, generation of inventory buffer targets, segmentation of TI’s products and simulation/validation frameworks, defining specs/reference architectures to best achieve business outcomes and ensuring security and interoperability between capabilities.

Roles and Duties:

• Org strategy:

• Set a strategic multi-year roadmap that will transform the space leveraging technology, resources, and architecture for radically simple data flows, integration and outcomes

• Balance existing systems with end state and define the best path to achieve the end state. Drive execution and operational excellence together.

• Talent management:

• Lead and develop a team of data scientists, data engineers, application developers and system architects focused on demand analytics and integration of data and systems into the wider supply chain systems

• Build passion for innovation, curiosity, collaboration and data first mindsets within the team and bring this passion to the wider technical community within IT at TI

• Stakeholder engagement:

• Work collaboratively and strategically with stakeholder groups to achieve TI business strategy and goals

• Communicate complex technical concepts and influence final business outcomes with stakeholders effectively.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize actionable, high-impact insights across a variety of core business areas

• Technology and platforms:

• Build simple, scalable and modular technology stacks using modern technologies and software engineering principles.

• Simulate real world scenarios with various models and approaches to determine best fit of algorithms by varying the inputs across hundreds to thousands of variables

• Research, experiment and implement new approaches and models that flex with the business strategy transformations

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or equivalent fields, preferred MS or PhD in Data Science or related fields.

• 5 years of relevant professional experience

• Experience in Supply Chain in the Semiconductor, Retail, or Pharmaceutical industries or experience in demand forecasting techniques, algorithms and their practical applications

Preferred qualifications:

• 2 years as a technical leader of a data science or data engineering team

• 2 years as an individual contributor doing applied AI or ML or advanced analytics

• 5 years’ experience in application/software development or extensive use of Python or data engineering platforms

• Expert knowledge and experience in NLP, LLMs, predictive and prescriptive analytics approaches

• Deep understanding of machine learning (ML) techniques including but not exhausted to clustering, classification, regression, decision trees, neural nets, support vector machines, genetic algorithms, anomaly detection, association rules, sequential pattern discovery and deep learning

• Exemplary communication skills; oral and written, with ability to translate complex statistical and quantitative analysis into simple real-real world inferences, telling the story through data, for both technical and non-technical audiences

• Expert level analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Ability to motivate a team and operate effectively in an environment with high volumes and tight deadlines across a variety of business partners and technical contributors.
