WHAT YOU’LL DO
Under the general direction of the Business Services Director for the APAC Region, you will provide strategic guidance, operational expertise and day-to day management for all meetings and events including large size programs (700-1000 attendees) for all meeting formats (in-person, virtual, hybrid) – including annual offsite, all-staff townhalls, celebration of festivals and other celebratory occasions. You will act as a first point of contact for all events planned internally and externally including preparing and communicating the annual events and communication calendar.
The Office Manager, Meetings & Events will be responsible for maintaining and growing the relationship with internal stakeholders (meeting owners) as a thought partner in innovation and operational excellence. This role will be responsible for overseeing, managing and flawless execution of the following areas: event strategy including format, cadence, dates, and city/site selection, evaluation and selection of venues, suppliers and platforms. You will be responsible for managing a small team responsible for the execution of the program including but not limited to: logistics (including meeting space management, F&B, evening events, etc), technology, production, design, communication, security. Additionally the Meetings & Events Operations Manager will be responsible for selecting partners (preferably from approved supplier list) and managing the delivery of outsourced elements – such as freelancers, etc.
YOU’RE GOOD AT
Corporate internal event management and design – both in person and virtual events
Collaborating, managing and leading a small team people within Office Operations
Promoting collaboration and team engagement across the business
Building affiliation and growth mindset, supporting change and effective communication across all functional teams in the Delhi Hub Office
Supporting virtual and physical engagement activities both within GS India and wider Global Teams
Help deliver the Employee Experience to attract and retain talent to BCG
Support action planning in response to the annual people engagement survey
Lead aspects of the BCG Social Inclusion and Social Impact agenda to support our community engagement
Championing BCG Values and ways of working, both regionally and globally
End-to-end execution of meetings and events including managing expert supplier manager and negotiator to facilitate all aspects of events on time and on budget
Functional experience of utilizing a wide variety of digital tools including but not limited to Trello, Slack, Zoom, Cvent, etc
Communication skills, both verbal and written and are an active listener across all levels of the organization
Interpersonal and relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders and can collaborate cross-functionally across multiple geographies
Intellectual agility and resourcefulness when faced with significant ambiguity and fluctuating priorities and constraints
Multi-tasking and can prioritize and manage multiple projects with realistic but aggressive deadlines, you strive in busy environments and can remain calm under stressful situations
Making complex decisions and enjoy influencing stakeholders (both internal and external) under unfamiliar circumstances
Other:
Strong English skills (written and verbal)
Project management experience will be highly valued
Hands-on and ability to work higher peak hours over long durations specially for large scale events
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
10 + years related experience in the event management (preferably in corporate environment)
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Hospitality, Events or related field
People management experience
Organizational skills and ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and the willingness to be an active team player
Excellent time management skills; must work well with deadlines
Highly responsive customer service orientation and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

The Office Operations Team is a team of professionals who work collaboratively to manage day-to-day operations of the Global Services India Hub to plan, manage, and execute various office operations related activities for the Office.
The Global Business Services Team to contribute and partner for globally managed virtual Meetings and Events balancing efficiency, effectiveness, and service while driving down costs and delivering a high-quality experience.
Collaborate with the M&E team to learn and stay up-to-date with the various tools and technology platforms BCG uses for managing events specially for tactical support for the delivery of successful events and projects.
