Star Sports is a key catalyst in espousing a multisport culture in India. Over the past 5 years, it has invested in and partnered with key stakeholders to popularize sports beyond Cricket. As an incumbent in this role, you will manage digital and social campaigns for the brand.

Context:

Start Sports has the vision to become the most dynamic and loved sports brand on social media in India. To achieve this goal, we want a Digital Marketing professional who can manage digital and social campaigns for the brand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Ideation to Execution process of Digital marketing campaigns for the Sports BU
• Develop and manage Star Sports’ presence on existing and new social / digital platforms / accounts for Star Sports (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram, etc) with a focus on regional markets in the south
• Coordinate with agencies for marketing material and relevant content for mobile/social platforms
• Drive strong engagement on all social / digital media platforms which is consistent with company’s brand voice
• Develop social plans based on a robust understanding of fan insights and social platform dynamics
• Evaluate results to understand the impact of campaigns and recommend next steps
• Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
• Evaluate emerging technologies / platforms/ other digital platforms and manage campaigns within the budget allocated.

Qualifications:

• MBA in Marketing/Mass Communication with 4+ years’ experience in digital marketing
• Must have proficiency in Tamil

• Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; able to read and interpret written information.
