Location/Division Specific Information

Discover Impactful Work: As an Identity & Access Management engineer, you will be directly engaged with the support, engineering, and tactical solutioning efforts to protect Thermo Fisher from a constantly evolving threat and vulnerability landscape. You will be responsible for supporting the operations and performance of the overall IAM governance & lifecycle platform landscape for the enterprise. This role is pivotal to the engineering and support of global activities surrounding Active Directory, federation, access, and associated components that support critical business, administrative, and scientific functions.

A Day in the Life:

• Run and maintain the identity governance and lifecycle management platform to ensure the availability and accuracy of identities, attributes, and entitlements

• Run and maintain the various Active Directory forests and domains within the global landscape

• Engage in integration projects and tasks for new acquisitions, as well as projects for divestitures

• Complete incidents, requests, and changes using our corporate service management tool for assignment, prioritization, and tracking

• Collaborate with peers and other engineers and SMEs responsible for ensuring the resiliency against cyber threats spanning IAM, Access Governance, Application Federation, Active Directory, SSO, etc…

• Build meaningful and productive relationships throughout the enterprise

Keys to Success:

• Ability to troubleshoot and translate technical issues into clear and concise descriptions and explanations

• In-depth technical knowledge of SailPoint’s identity governance and lifecycle management platform including areas such as Sources, Identity Profiles, Identity Correlation & Aggregation, and provisioning methods

• In-depth understanding of SCIM – a standard protocol in identity provisioning use cases

• Working knowledge of Active Directory as a user attribute store

• Working knowledge of SSO, including how Identity Providers send user attributes to applications

• Ensure documentation and processes are well defined so that the engineered solutions are understood and repeatable

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or other relevant field

• Equivalent direct and applicable professional experience in any IT field may be substituted

Experience

• 6+ years of professional experience in progressive roles in Identity and Access Management for a large-scale diverse company

• 6+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and managing identity governance and lifecycle solutions in varying states of solution maturity

• Direct experience with SailPoint’s identity governance platform

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Strong analytical skills; being able to work through symptoms and problems logically to a timely resolution

• Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills are a must

• Strong customer service skills, and a proven track record of achieving customer excellence

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge and understanding of authentication and authorization, including associated protocols

• Ability to work in a global distributed team via collaboration tools such as email, messaging, and conferencing
