Job Summary

We are seeking a QA automation engineer to join our team and contribute to test our scientific applications and report on product performance, quality, security and stability. As a QA engineer, you will collaborate multi-functional business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios. Should have good verbal and written communication skills, optimally document test cases. Is authentic, open and leads by example, holding self and others accountable.

What will you do?

• Build, update, maintain, and implement test plans that include manual test cases ands develop and maintain assets to support test cases including configurations and data.

• Collaborate with R&D and Engineering team to resolve issue.

• Work with development teams to understand software design and functionality as deemed vital and coordinate/liaise with engineering teams a geographically separated team in different time zones

• Report on testing results to completion and fix, report and track issues in the issue tracking software.

• Enforce to established interpersonal policies, procedures and standards and review, collaborate and recommend on software testing processes and frameworks.

• Build metrics and increase test coverage and make recommendations that may have an impact on existing or future systems/applications, products, services or procedures and business processes.

• Own and participate in end-to-end feature testing using industry standard processes.

Skills & Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor or Master Degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university.

• 4+ years strong experience in test automation skills using Selenium for java /python/ C#.

• Work experience 7+ years with major aspects of the software development process (requirements, design, implementation, and test) and Testing.

• Strong experience developing test cases – both functional and technical and test data preparation, Defect identification, and root cause analysis.

• Ability to work with a distributed team of testers and lead testing efforts for projects. and SQA (Software Quality Assurance) test process and methodologies in web application.

• Have experience completing full-cycle software projects and have good understanding of Agile Methodology and having experience with Jira, HP QC or also any other test case management Tool.

Preferred skills

• Strong Scenario generation and problem solving skills and API testing and knowledge on Performance or other non-functional test.

• Preferred Experience in functional testing of an embedded system like lab instruments etc.

• Experience testing across multiple operating systems and hands-on experience with tools such as Jenkins, GIT, etc.
