Job Description

: Are you excited about harnessing state-of-the-art Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning and Computer Vision algorithms to solve real world problems? Do you have proven analytical capabilities and research bent-of-mind? As a Research Intern at the Applied Research group in Thoucentric, you will tap into the latest advances in machine learning to solve real-world customer problems. You will be working in a fast-paced environment which nurtures your individual curiosity under the guidance of industry experts. You will take on challenging problems and deliver solutions which either distils academic research or push the boundary yourselves where need arises. You will also strive to publish your innovations at premier conferences such as KDD, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, WWW, WSDM & SIGIR! Location – Bangalore What does the day-to-day look like?

• Contribute to research that can be applied to product development.
• Develop proof of concepts and tackle problems through creative approaches.
• Identify baselines, datasets, experiments, and metrics for your project.
• Reading, understanding, and implementing research papers.
• Carry out and record experiments in a scientific and methodical way.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations. Engage with the academic community by presenting your work and speaking at conferences and events.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in degree (UG, PG, or PhD) program with a keen interest and experience in machine learning, NLP, deep learning, computer vision or related fields.
• Strong working knowledge of Python and common machine learning and deep learning libraries in Python.
• Expertise in one of the deep learning frameworks- TensorFlow or PyTorch (PyTorch is preferred)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Research experience related to machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision.
• Published and/or presented papers at reputed journals/conferences
• Meaningful Open-source contributions to relevant projects
