Position Summary:
The Expense Accountant will report to the Accounting Leader, Expense and will play a key role in supporting the establishment of and being a key team member of the Expense Accounting team at the India Shared Services Centre based in Bangalore, India. Bengaluru location will be the global hub of a network of service centres that operate under generally standard processes and procedures and utilize Oracle’s ERP software solution.
The position will require process expertise related to shared service centre operations. The expense accountant will be part of a team of professional accountants performing accounting services in the areas of:
Payroll & incentives accounting
Prepayments & corporate accruals
Professional & IT costs
Advertising & marketing costs
Facility costs
Goods received not invoiced accruals.
Corporate regional and BU allocations
The position will require extensive business partnering with our business units and effective communication across functions and with finance management and global operations.
Responsibilities:
The expense accountant will be responsible for providing accounting services including continuous improvement of processes and internal controls as well as contributing to the overall vision for Company’s shared services evolution.
Ensure performance to targeted Global Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to align with delivery of desired service level to the business.
Integrate expense accounting finance processes of new acquisitions into the India Shared Service Centre.
Work closely with teams across the shared services organization and in the business lines to identify and implement opportunities for efficiencies (including the ERP IT team).

Qualifications:
Bachelor/master’s degree in accounting/finance
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years of experience in global shared service centre environment.
Knowledge of financial systems skills and reporting tools (experience with PeopleSoft a plus).
