The Emerging Tech DBA (PostgreSQL/MongoDB) role provides you a unique opportunity to work on an impressive technology landscape, involving many of the most popular tools and cloud platforms of today. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a scalable datastore backend for Tricentis Test Analytics and Test Management platform. You will define, design, and implement state-of-the-art database systems and devise mechanisms to bring data in and out, to ensure it can provide the reliability, scalability, and availability our customers expect from Tricentis products. Essential Job duties and responsibilities:

• Build resilient and scalable database schema and queries, to support size and scale of overall application architecture
• Implement best-in-class performance tuning in DB systems/queries
• Monitor production systems and ensure uptime/performance as per the SLA
• Support emergency troubleshooting/maintenance on production systems
• Perform regular maintenance/backup/recovery of databases, as needed
• Synthesize/mask production-quality data for robust application testing
• Deploy/maintain necessary DB infrastructure to support application development/testing
• Lead efforts to develop and improve procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention, reducing any need of downtime
• Closely communicate with team members, Product Owner, and other stakeholders, to understand the expectation and goal of business
• Participate in daily standups and refinement sessions, contribute constructively into the discussion, provide expert opinion and valuable inputs
• Stay updated on the latest communications happening in company/team channels

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of experience overall working as a DBA
• In-depth expertise of PostgreSQL 9.x+ features and implementation at enterprise scale
• Hands-on experience working with any NoSQL Database (MongoDB/Cassandra/HBase)
• In-depth expertise in database performance tuning and related monitoring techniques
• Strong expertise in provisioning, managing, optimizing, monitoring, troubleshooting databases in cloud (preferably AWS)
• Strong understanding of Database security concepts
• Hands-on experience working with other Relational Databases (MSSQL/Oracle)
• Hands-on experience working across at least one cloud platform (preferably in AWS)
• Experience working with Data streaming services (Kafka/OData) is a plus
• Experience working with Change Data Capture/Change Data Stream is a plus
• Experience working with Datawarehouse practices is a plus
• Experience working with any CI/CD tool (Jenkins/Azure DevOps/CircleCI etc.) is a plus
• Experience with Containerization ecosystem (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Experience with IaC tools (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM) is a plus
• Able to write code in any one programming/scripting language(python) is a plus
• Exposure of working in an Agile development environment is a plus
