UI Lead Developer:

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of multiple UI-centric projects while collaborating closely with backend teams.

• Provide ongoing support for project production go-live and supply post-production support.

• Solve technical problems using cutting edge technologies and best practices.

• Should be able to propose different ways to solve the same problem and showcase why one option is better than another.

• Ensure all aspects of a technical design are correctly incorporated.

• Mentor teammates and support them in solving critical challenges.

• Contribute technical expertise to all projects as required.

• Contribute to requirements documents, white papers and research as required.

Skills:

• A Senior UI Lead / Developer Lead with 8 years of hands-on UI development experience.

• Strong experience in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 (SASS, LESS etc. – any), and modern platforms (Bootstrap, Material, jQuery, etc.)

• Experience using Responsive Design, Mobile-first Web Design, Templating (Handlebar, Mustache etc. – any), Testing (Mocha-Chai, Karma, Jasmine etc. – any), Node JS, MV* (Angular, React, etc.), Websockets, REST, JSON and XML.

• Familiarity with linting and/or other code quality tools; Working knowledge of build tools; Knowledge of optimizing CSS/JavaScript performance by coding practices and tools; Experience with CSS pre-processors, preferably Sass.

• Experience in doing performance analysis, caching mechanisms, Cross-Platform/Cross-Browser development, working around Cross-Origin browser restrictions, Coding best practices (Error-Handling, Memory leaks etc.), Code review.

• Knowledge of Linux commands, basic command-line scripting, and git.

• Ability to comprehend requirements and provide input wherever needed.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for analyzing, experimenting, and providing solutions.

• Experience implementing Agile Methodology for project execution.

• Ability to communicate effectively within and outside the team verbally and non-verbally (email, Slack, documentation etc.).

• Understanding of UI Design, Architecture and User Experience (UX) considerations, including I18N, Localization, and 508 Compliance.

The ideal candidate is an effective communicator, good team player, individual contributor and has a proven history of mentoring/leading.
