Duties
Basic Function of the Position: The position is located in the General Services Office (GSO), U.S. Embassy New Delhi. The incumbent will draft/ prepare all incoming and sea shipments Exemption certificates including personal effects, office supplies/equipment Personal office vehicles (POVs) and Government Office Vehicles (GOVs). S/he will draft or prepare prior approvals for all official shipments for all agencies including the American Embassy School. S/he will be designated as an “Occasional money holder” in order to make payments for freight charges on “collect” shipments. S/he supervises delivery of House Hold effects (HHE)/ unaccompanied air baggage (UAB) shipments and loading of export shipments. S/he maintains a record of payments made to packing and forwarding companies. The incumbent will be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: The position requires two years of clerical or administrative work experience in an office environment or experience in shipping enviornment.

Education Requirements:
The position requires completion of Secondary School (Class X).

LANGUAGE:
Level 3 (Good working knowledge) in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required. This may be tested.

Level 3 (Good working knowledge) in Hindi (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in New Delhi, India may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office.
