I. ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

• This role will assist and co-ordinate with various fintech accelerators, incubators, academia, government bodies etc. to help the bank partner with various fintechs and startups
• Assist in identification & evaluation of fintechs & startups for possible engagement with Ujjivan Bank across business, support and control functions of the bank.
• Co-ordinate to create and manage platforms like annual Innovation Summits, Hackathons, dedicated Incubation Centers, API Summits etc. to build strong relationships with individual startups / fintechs, fintech accelerators, Research Institutes, Acedemia etc.
• Assist in running a dedicated Innovation Centre for Ujjivan Bank which will become an incubator for future startups and fintechs
• Support Innovation Team, Digital Product Team, IT Team and other Business heads within the organization for the right fintech and startup identification for their projects.
• Research and identify the latest developments in the Fintech/BFSI industry and evaluate the feasibility of adopting the same in Ujjivan.

III. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Business/ Financials (Only Relevant roles)

• Assisting in developing and growing an extensive fintech and startup ecosystem for Ujjivan Bank.
• Manage & Grow Fintech Partnership Platforms like annual Innovation Summits, Hackathons, API Summits etc. to generate innovative solution ideas for business problems and build strong relationships with individual startups / fintechs, fintech accelerators, Research Institutes, Acedemia, government bodies etc.
• Run the day to day activities of a dedicated Innovation Center for Ujjivan Bank which will become an incubator for future startups and fintechs.
• Help in identifying potential partners in Fintech and Startup space and evaluate them to bring them on-board to deploy their use-cases if they are aligned with the business objectives of Ujjivan.
• Identify the areas of innovation, digitization of processes across various functions of the bank and identify partners who provide the right solution for the same.
• Develop ROI focused business case for the proposed partnership/project and obtain concurrence from Business team/sponsor.
• Identify and back startups who are on the lookout for incubator platforms for executing innovative ideas / solving complex problems in the BFSI space and onboard them to Digital Innovation Lab @ Ujjivan SFB
• Assist in completing a Proof of Concept and owning the project plan and delivery within expected timelines without exceeding the allocated budget.
• Ensure active participation from prospective partners from the Fintech space in the Meet ups, API summits, Hackathons and other events conducted by the innovation center of Ujjivan.
• Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and execution of project oriented work efforts

Customer (Both Internal & External)

• Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders, understand their requirements, identify existing bottlenecks and and identify partners who provide the right solution for the same.
• Engage with respective business/functions to form a cross functional teams to successfully deliver the project objectives in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with different teams like IT, Audit, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Business and drive a cross functional project team to ensure ideal solutioning and approvals for partnerships/Engagements.

Internal Process

• Implement project management processes to ensure Partnerships/projects are closed on time, complying with high quality standards, and meet business expectations
• Comply with all the standard guidelines to be followed in case of new partnerships or similar engagements with Fintech
• Ensure standard documentations along with required approvals for all projects handled.

Learning & Innovation

• Keep oneself abreast of industry trends and initiatives adopted by other banks and institutions in the industry.
• Update the management and the functional heads about the new trends in the market with recommendations.
• Identify the area for improvement and ask for training requirements proactively
• Getting trained in all the product and process of Ujjivan on field exposure by visiting branches
