Job Responsibilities
Utilize your Java skills to implement APIs for our new platform
Design and build elegant solutions using modern lightweight technologies
Leverage your knowledge of object oriented design principles to deliver industry-leading, well-structured, well-documented and fully-tested code
Communicate effectively with product managers, UI/UX engineers, and other members of the development team
Interface with various front-end technologies and frameworks
Be responsible for daily code reviews
Job Requirements
4+ years of experience
Experience with lightweight Java
Experience in the Spring Framework (3., 4.x, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Annotations)
Experience in designing scalable & flexible backend systems
Mastery in developing RESTful web services with JSON
Experience with NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra) a plus
Experience with SQL/RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, Aurora, RDA), DB Modeling, DB Queries, ORM (e.g., Hibernate, JDBI, Ibatis)
Solid understanding of object-oriented design patterns and principles
Proficiency in test-driven development (e.g., JUnit, Mockito)
Experience with source-code management tools (e.g., Git, SVN)
Experience with build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle, ANT, CodeBuild)
Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery (e.g., Code Deploy, Code Pipeline)
Works well independently and with a team
Comfortable delivering high-quality work with a quick turnaround rate
Can code review team members
Experience with Content Management Systems a plus
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related field is required; Master’s degree is a plus
