Reports To: Factory Manager

Job Purpose: The Executive Engineering – Mechanical will be responsible for overseeing mechanical engineering projects, ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of machinery, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the Chhindwara Detergent Factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
• Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Compliance: Ensure all engineering activities comply with HUL’s safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and safety, to achieve factory goals.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of engineering activities, including maintenance logs, project reports, and compliance documentation.
• Training: Provide training and support to junior engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the FMCG sector.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Certification in project management.

Working Conditions

• Based at the Chhindwara Detergent Factory.
• May require occasional travel to other HUL sites.
