MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
‘People with purpose thrive’, is one of the big themes of Compass. Employee engagement and experience are focus areas for the company to enable that. The Employee Experience (HR Services, Workplace & Travel Services and Technology) and Operations Team under UniOps provides all the core EX services to all employees.
In order to underpin the ongoing development of the EX-platform (Servicenow) and maintain its strategic direction, Unilever are building and establishing a Employee Experience Technology Team (EETT).
As part of the EETT, Servicenow Platform Assurance specialist is required to become a critical part of the team and will be responsible to support the current and future operational needs. Provide day-to-day operational administration support for the ServiceNow system (all modules and system components) used to support the ServiceNow Suite | Platform.This individual will also work closely with the Release Manager and Test Manager, to ensure successful implementation and running of the Servicenow environments.
Essential Functions
Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.
Performs System Administrator activities for ServiceNow to include managing system updates, user access and other functions in accordance to maintaining the system, coordinating problem resolution.
Manages Instance Security, User/Group Access/Role allocation/Access Control Lists
Performs routine maintenance to include performance monitoring and error identification / remediation
Manage the Servicenow environments and ensure they are run and maintained to platform governance and standards and as per the best practises.
Provides direction and oversight to the platform team on all aspects of the environments.
Manage Platform changes and housekeeping
Work closely with the release manager and test manager to understand the pipeline of work to ensure right environments are available for dev/testing and supported.
Manages Update Set creation and migration
Schedules and verifies instance clones
Lead ServiceNow upgrade planning and execution
Servicenow license management and compliance
Assist in building and maintaining internal technical documentation, manuals, policies and processes.
Work closely with IT and business in configuring and improving core platform capabilities in accordance with IT best practices.
Create, maintain and enhance team Dashboards and reporting, including scheduled reports.
Understand how ServiceNow can enable the employees to become more efficient and configure the platform to achieve measurable benefits.
Participate | support in the software development lifecycle for ServiceNow.
Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of procedures, and develops strategies for enhancing these processes in accordance with ITIL best practices to enable continuous improvement.
Be able to work in sprints and releases, being comfortable and confident working in that environment.
Work with the platform team to implement automated testing and keep up to date with the platform test innovation and recommend improvements in this area.
Manage multiple competing priorities while driving resolution and getting results
Your role will allow you to work with the multiple Platform team members in a consistent and intuitive fashion to support the development , testing and platform maintainance. Therefore, this gives you a genuine opportunity to craft and improve the Servicenow environments and ways of working.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field; specialized training; or equivalent professional experience.
Certified ServiceNow System Administrator required
ServiceNow Platform implementation (certification preferred)
Sound knowledge of Servicenow Platform Foundation data models (Users, Groups, roles etc)
Conceptual understanding of foundation level ITIL version 3 and/or version 4 knowledge (certification preferred)
5+ years of ServiceNow experience in an administration role.
Knowledge of the following Servicenow modules ITSM ITBM, CSM, HRSD is required
Experience Managing ServiceNow upgrades and deployments
Sound knowledge of Servicenow licensing, subscription management and best practices around license allocation and management.
Experience in ServiceNow integration, automation, and workflows; Creation and modification of various Access Controls (ACL’s), Business Rules, Scripting, Ajax Query, Jelly Scripts, UI Actions and UI Policies.
ServiceNow Web technologies (JavaScript, XML, HTML, etc.)
Experience Managing ServiceNow upgrades and deployments
Knowledge and experience in MID Server installation and management
Experience of REST and SOAP based integration, scripted REST and SOAP API creation
Knowledge of ServiceNow Best Practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ServiceNow features.
Knowledge of project management in an agile environment, and a proven track record of implementing technology projects in agile delivery model.
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in ServiceNow development
SKILLS
Strong interpersonal skills, communication, leadership ability, teamwork and positive attitude
PC literate, including knowledge of office productivity tools (MS Suite: Excel, Word, etc.).
Attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and handle stress.
Works well within a team environment as well as individually
Must have excellent organizational and coordination skills.
Must demonstrate sound analytical skills, problem solving skills and a strong personal commitment to quality service
