Job Summary:

• Leadership over the global manufacturing function, comprised of: 1) current and planned manufacturing facilities in Bangladesh; producing over 150 million garment pieces annually; and 2) outsourced contract manufacturing
• Ensures manufacturing strategy and plans are aligned with the overall vision, mission, and strategy of the company
• Member of the Company’s executive leadership team, translating the Company strategies and customer requirements into long-term manufacturing strategies ensuring capacity and capabilities for the long-term are assured – including long-term capital planning; executive sponsor of manufacturing leadership and talent development; driving a world-class engineering function; process and equipment innovation; and manufacturing sustainability strategic development
• Ensure consistency across all locations in terms of: performance management (KPIs and manufacturing dashboards); standard operating procedures; environmental health & safety (EH&S) standards and disciplines; engineering standards; workforce management (compensation & benefits; workforce planning; diversity & inclusion; training & development; manufacturing career paths; Quality Assurance; sustainability priorities and strategies; compliance standards and governance; capital planning, manufacturing systems and technologies
• Contribute to the development of the organization’s strategy and provide advice/direction to the management on all aspects related to operations & production from a manufacturing perspective
• Ensure excellent communications and coordination with local and federal governments as it relates to government affairs including tax, incentives, industrial relations, labor and workforce planning, training & development, community affairs
• Create a global culture of LEAN – ensuring operational excellence end-to-end across all operations globally, applying the principles of Kaizen
• Analyze and evaluate manufacturing footprint expansion where appropriate into new regions, via outsourced manufacturing; and in partnerships with other third parties. The incumbent has a keen awareness and understanding of the stakeholder map, including fabric mills, technology partners, process and equipment partners, etc. in constantly evaluating manufacturing business models and ways of working

o 100% shipments must be OTIF

o Customer Satisfaction

His/her deliverables are monitored through clear reporting to the Company’s Board of Directors.

Quantifiable Targets will be defined for each KPIs separately, during the Goal setting review.

• Requirements
• 15 years + in management / executive roles in a manufacturing environment, leading supply chain teams and facilities over multiple countries – ideally with a global multinational with significant presence on the Indian Subcontinent
• Demonstrated results in driving manufacturing excellence, resulting in consistently meeting or exceeding manufacturing and supply chain KPIs
• Excellent leadership skills in managing large scale manufacturing operations; with very broad stakeholders including customers, government, industry associations, vendors. As a member of the group’s executive team, the incumbent is able to align the entire manufacturing function and goals and KPIs to those of the overall Company
• Ideally the candidate holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Operations Management or Business Management, and has significant experience and training in LEAN and Operational Excellence

Revenue/Budget Responsibility:

• $600 million FOB;
• Total Manufacturing Budget = $150 million

Team Size (for People Manager):

• Total Manufacturing H/C = 25,000;
• No. of Direct Reports = 10
