We at United Breweries are looking for government relation based at Kalyani.

Role: Government relation Manager

Regulatory Compliance

• Stay up to date with local, state, and national regulations related to alcohol production, distribution, and marketing.
• Collaborate with legal teams to ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.
• Build and nurture relationships with government departments/agencies including State Excise, Labour, Municipal Corporations, Police, NHAI, PCB, State Fire & Emergency Services Dept., Gram Panchayats, and other relevant industry regulators.
• Play a key role in acquiring, renewing, and managing required permits and licenses, such as Brand Registration, permission on production of all SKUs.
• Maintain open dialogue with government and state excise related to Policy, pricing, logistics optimisation, shelf-life management, and recovery of dues.
• Facilitate interactions, respond to queries, and assist in arranging inspections and audits.

Community engagement

• Cultivate positive relationships with the local community, neighbours, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with villagers and agencies for CSR activities.
• Organize and participate in community engagement initiatives, events, and programs that highlight the brewery’s commitment to the community.

Issue resolution

• Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, addressing concerns, inquiries, or grievances effectively.
• Collaborate with Sales/Supply Chain teams to identify solutions and implement corrective measures as required.
• Reply to statutory notices in consultation with the Legal team.

Public relations and Media relations

• Assist in managing the brewery’s public image and reputation and communication related to regulatory matters.
• Work with Corporate communication & Media Relations team on media related inquiries, press releases.

Crisis Management

• Work closely with Corporate Communication & Media Relations team to develop and implement crisis management strategies tailored to the market to address unforeseen operational or reputational challenges.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of regulatory compliance, stakeholder interactions, and important documents pertaining to all regulations involved.
• Prepare regular reports summarizing liaison activities and outcomes for the management.
