Role-RHEL Administrator – Senior

Exp– 7 to 9 Years

Job Description:
Skill set

7-9 years of Infra experience in a comparable position experience in IT Industry

Previous working experience as a Linux Administrator for 8 to 10 years

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar relevant degree

In-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.

Hands on experience with databases such as MSSQL, MySQL and/or MariaDB

Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts

Good knowledge in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting

Good knowledge on protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP

Additional Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC) will be considered an advantage

Strong problem solving, communication & documentation skills

Ready to work in shifts as per client’s requirement

Key Responsibility

Install new rebuild existing System, Servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project operational requirements of the client

Should have experience in Installation and configuration of Web Server, Application Server and Database servers in Linux Environment [Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL etc

Should have multi-node clustering knowledge with proper heartbeat configurations for redundancy

Investigating and troubleshooting all issues related to Linux infrastructure including RCA analysis and advanced troubleshooting with network traces such as TCPDump/Wireshark

Daily system monitoring, verifying and reviewing all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes etc

Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures

Performing regular updates and upgrades as and when necessary

Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures and system standards

Experience building and maintaining a Virtual Server Environment using RHEV/VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Citrix

Working knowledge on Cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud RHEL or similar OEM certification

Should have working knowledge of Windows domain, computer networking and scripting

Should have strong knowledge on Linux commands and working experience on RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu etc· Licensing knowledge of RHEL is advantageous
