Urban Company Looking For Associate Manager Taxation at Gurugram, Haryana, Full Time

What you’ll do:

• Knowledge of laws applicable to ecommerce company
• Undertaking compliances under the Goods and Service Tax (GST) laws
• Coordinating with consultant for ensuring the tax (GST & Income tax) compliances for India territory are done on a timely manner,
• For certain selected countries across the globe the individual would be independently handling the tax advisory, compliances with the support of local consultants.
• Closely work with global consultants and update the business team regarding any changes and its implications on the business.
• Review of the tax entries in the books and responsible for closing and reconciliation of the monthly tax ledgers in the books vis a vis Returns.
• Ensure all tax related payments to government/tax authorities are done as per the timelines in respective countries.
• Ensure all tax related controls and compliance are met as per the Urban Company framework.
• Support in country tax audits GST, Income Tax, Transfer pricing by providing adequate documentation/data support/analysis of data.
• Handling department notices, inquiry.
• Ensure that all agreed KPIs in the tax process and met and effectively managed.
• Provide insights for a best-in class process for the tax process. A tech-savvy individual who is ready to take ownership in process improvement and process efficiencies. Work for automation of tax processes.

What we need:

• 2-5 years’ experience in Tax. Qualified Chartered Accountant only.
• Should be thorough with Direct and Indirect taxation – India and International.
• Knowledge of laws applicable to ecommerce company
• Good interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with all levels within the organization
• Unquestioned personal integrity with strong ethics and values consistent with UC culture
• Well-developed technical proficiency IT environment, Word, Excel and PowerPoint·
• Ability to run mandates autonomously and with minimum supervision.
• Ability to strategize and assess potential risk.
• Ability to coordinate with different business teams, senior management, and external counsel on multiple mandates.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail.
