Duties
Basic Function of the Position: The incumbent is personally accountable as Class B cashier for maintaining the accountability of authorized cash advance from the United States Development Office (USDO) for $65,000. S/he will perform as a second cashier during busy periods, and as the designated alternate cashier, substitutes for the Principal cashier during the temporary absences and acts as the principal for at least three months out of the year while the Principal is on leave, training, or performing other duties. S/he maintains and accounts for an authorized (permanent) cash advance ranging from USD 50,000 to USD $10,000 when acting as the principal. S/he provides cashiering services to State and 51 other agencies employees, Temporary Duty Assignments, VIPs, and congressional delegations (when required), provides accommodation exchange service when bank is closed to all eligible employees, pays cash vouchers, reconciles All online collections through cashier sweep account and pay.gov, processes CashPro transactions, replenishes sub-cashiers vouchers, receives consular fee collections and works with GSO/Property office to reconcile sealed bid auctions funds. S/he will receive and reconcile Machine Readable Visa(MRV) fees, and other collections valued at approximately $88.3 million per annum. In the absence of the principal cashier, provides training and operational guidance to 23 sub-cashiers. S/he will coordinate with the USDO Bangkok, Bank of America and four consulates for any unreconciled deposit inquiries received from GFS Bangkok. S/he will provide guidance to Class B cashiers at the four consulates, reconciles pay.gov transactions, USDO Bank accounts, automated Cash Register System (ACRS), and ACDC.014 reports. S/he will share responsibility of conducting unannounced cash count for 23 sub-cashiers in Delhi. S/he will perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: The position requires three years of experience in financial operations or accounting.

Education Requirements:
The position requires completion of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, India may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office.

COVID-19 Requirements for Eligible Family Members
