Duties
Basic Function of the Position: The position is located in the General Services Office(GSO) in the U.S. Embassy, New Delhi. The incumbent will serve as a secretary to the Supervisory General Services Officer (S/GSO) in the Embassy General Services Section that comprises of over seven American Officers and 120 Local Employee (LE) Staff. S/he provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks in support of the General Services Office under the direct supervision of the S/GSO. S/he will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional clerical duties. S/he will be the first point of contact, for both phone and in person, to the office of the S/GSO. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:
This position requires two years of secretarial or customer experience dealing with internal or external clients.

Education Requirements:
This position requires successful completion of Senior Secondary School (Class XII)

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in New Delhi, India may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office.
