As a technical contributor, you would be working with high performing and energetic SCRUM team of software developers. The position is part of Varian’s Software Platform team which is responsible for evaluating latest technology trends and adapting them to Varian’s product suite. The team is responsible for prototyping, developing and releasing framework components which enable enterprise-wide workflow integrations and address cross-cutting concerns e.g security.

This position reports to the Engineering Manager and has high level of visibility to functional managers worldwide

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Act as a coach for the engineering team, both at a technical and behavioral level includes design reviews, code reviews but not limited to.

• You would be involved in all phases of product development, right from concept formalization to product deployment.

• Develop / innovate solutions to complex problems

• Responsible for end to end development and delivery of a product

• Provide technical details and estimations for backlog grooming

• Stay in touch with latest and upcoming Microsoft/ open source technologies

• Develop and demonstrate high quality prototypes / modules and finished applications that meet the desired goals, quality and are well documented

• Contributed to prototyping of design solutions, propose decisions in conjunction with architects & product teams and continuously evolve the roadmap to address these problems.

Qualifications Required: M Tech, B Tech, MSc, MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science

Experience (Years): 5-8 years

Skills:

Technologies required: Strong work experience with: .Net / .Net Core, C#, ASP, REST/WebAPI, Docker

SQL, GitTFS, AgileScrum practices

Good to have skills: Microsoft Azure PaaS offerings and Azure Kubernetes Service, Messaging transports like RabbitMQ, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular

• Have complete understanding of programming patterns and be able to implement them

• Broad and deep technical knowledge, with specialization in Microsoft technology stacks

• Passion for technology with strong self-drive towards understanding and exploring technology trends

• Strong hands on experience on server-side concepts like SOA, Enterprise Integration

• Knowledge of web service Security standards (e.g.- OAuth, OpenIDConnect, WS-Security, X509, SSL, etc)

• Experience with MSSQL server /RDBMS, experience working with Entity Framework

• Work experience with open source technology

• Experience writing Unit test

• Hands on experience in low level design skills

• Integration of on-premise software’s with cloud apps.
