• Responsible for further developing and enhancing the use of SolarWinds, which includes alerting and reporting

• Manage L2 issues and escalation for Infrastructure monitoring.

• Record appropriate incident for monitoring issues adhering to SLA.

• Review business requirements and improve monitoring of the Orion Platform.

• Provide expertise to help improve a reporting system that meets the needs of our client and create additional Orion reports.

• All functions associated with installing/configuring/updating SolarWinds Orion’s Modules

• Integration of SolarWinds with Service Now for Auto-Ticketing

• Basic and Advanced Alerting

• Reports creation with Web Console

• Report Scheduling

• Grouping and Custom Properties

• Commissioning/Decommissioning of nodes

• Credentials configuration

• Fine Tuning of Alerts

• Notification configuration

• SMTP configuration

• Alert Correlation configuration

• Preparing daily/monthly various reports

• Create and update existing runbook documents.

• SolarWinds implementation and suggest areas for improvement in addition to training and directing client personal in the configuration, management, and use of NPM, NTA, SAM, WPM, IPAM, VMAN, SRM, NCM

• Design Custom Properties solution to allow for more granular monitoring, alerting, and reporting.

• Design Groups and Dependencies to streamline monitoring and alerting.

• Develop custom SAM templates using PowerShell, Shell, Perl and SQL queries to implement monitoring of non-standard systems.

• Design and develop APE (Additional Polling Engine) monitoring solutions to anticipate client scalability needs.

• Implementation of NPM, NTA, SAM, WPM, IPAM, VMAN, SRM, NCM to manage and monitor infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, application, and load balancers.

• Regular upgrades

Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting the company infrastructure business processes and operations and/or network-based (cloud) product systems. Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems with automated systems solutions. Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for LAN and/or WAN systems. Plans, designs, acquires and implements telecommunications voice/wire systems. At higher job levels, may contribute to the development, testing, evaluation or design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set.

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge: Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired. Typical Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. Little or no experience.
