Overview
The Supply Chain Commodity Analyst reports to the Sr. Global Category Manager, will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, improving and managing data. Proactively performs Supply Chain support to Growth (Business Development / Capture) for pre-award actions in preparation for a response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) by the US Government (USG) or other Customers. Will administer Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA’s) for Vectrus Programs which may involve both foreign and domestic subcontractors/suppliers.
This position will execute and administer various types of NDA’s ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures, legal guidelines, FAR/DFARS clauses, and customer requirements. This position will require the use of Vectrus internal automated contract request system.
Work on complex procurement matters globally and provides contractual guidance while exercising sound ethical and professional judgment within a broadly defined best practice and written policy structure. Respon sible for protecting the legal and financial interest of Vectrus Systems Corporation during all discussions and interactions with customers and suppliers. Will provide Proposal support in the form of writing/preparing RFQ’s/RFP’s from information provided in PWS. Drafts Request for Quotes, determine price reasonableness, leads negotiation efforts with suppliers, and reviews and interprets clauses, PO modifications, agreements and other legal documents as required. Supports all internal and external audits. Operates under the functional guidance of Supply Chain organization and Corporate Purchasing Manual, while coordinating closely with other functional departments.
Responsibilities
NDA Preparation, Negotiation, and Execution
Provides a variety of complex or technical services for Proposal requests
Prepares RFP’s/RFQ’s from PWS requirements
Evaluate bids, selects and recommends suppliers, negotiates price, delivery, quality and service.
Follows up on all awards until completion of order
Works with Accounts Payable as required resolving issues on suppliers’ invoices.
Responsible for all documentation associated with a purchase as required by government and company policies
Plan and prepare supply chain and operational analysis.
Recommend actions and provide guidance on supply chain and operational problems
Identify data and reporting tools necessary to perform supply chain and operational analysis.
Recommend, develop, create and implement standard reporting.
Identify resources needed and coordinate tasks required
Recommends, develops, creates and implements ad hoc reports as business conditions necessitate.
Communicate the results of key measurement projects.
Prepare design documents that bridge user requirements and computer program and database developers.
Provide analysis and reporting as required.
Define exception reporting to identify error and out of bounds conditions.
Monitor accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of data for analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 4+ years of supply chain/operations experience

Articulate and persuasive communication skills; both written and verbal
Attention to detail and quality of work
Skills & Technology Used:
Microsoft 365 product suite
Advance level of Microsoft Excel, Power Pivot and Excel data models
Ability to utilize app-based tools to automate processes for data

Working Environment:
Employee works in an office environment and will occupy a cubicle. Awareness of, and adherence to behavior standards is required to facilitate a productive environment and neighborly interaction in the cubicle environment. Standard hours are M-F, 7:30-4:30 but may shift slightly to accommodate global needs.
