Applications are invited for the post of Project Research Scientist (One position)/ Project Associate (One Position) for the funded project in Immunopathology Lab, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) – Vellore- 632014, Tamil Nadu.Project Title:Therapeutic evaluation of an unani herbal medicine against rheumatoid arthritis (Waja-ul-mafasil) -an immunological approach for scientific validation.Job Responsibility:The successful candidates will have to deeply investigate immune based mechanism of selective candidate genes and therapeutically target in autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis.Qualification (Essential):Project Research Scientist (One position): Ph. D or postgraduate with three years’ experience in immunology or any other related biological sciences disciplines with the proven evidence of good publication records in high reputed immunology journals.Project Associate (One position): Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences and research experience in immunology researchExperience:Strong experience in flow cytometry, western, qPCR and RNA sequencing is preferable, with excellent oral and written communication skills.Salary:Project Research Scientist: 67,000 Rs per month+ 9 % HRA (6030 Rs) = 73,030Duration:The duration of the position is three years. However, the performance of the candidate will be rigorously reviewed every year and the fellowship will be renewed only upon satisfactory performance.Principal Investigator:Dr. M. Rasool
