What you’ll be doing…

Database administration tasks include ensuring database availability and performance tuning, DB deployments, Quarterly maintenance and Upgrade operations, backup and recovery operations.

• Performing day to day Cassandra database administration tasks and troubleshooting the DB issues.

• Building Cassandra Cluster with multiple nodes and Upgrade Cassandra.

• Working on Cassandra Data Model and Keyspace management.

• Working on Cassandra security with SSL across Cluster nodes.

• Working on Define and establish best practices with Cassandra including configuration, DB monitoring and backups of the cluster.

• Working on Design, configure and maintain an Apache Cassandra cluster, including Datastax Enterprise Graph.

• Working on Analyze data access patterns and identify hotspots and bottlenecks.

• Working on Design and review data models and help developers plan high performing queries.

• Managing storage capacity of the cluster and helping plan for growth based on future project goals.

• Working on Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues as needed.

• Working on documenting the issues.

• Working on data migration and data loads, Oracle to Cassandra.

  In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for…

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.

• One or more years of Cassandra Database Administration with AWS certified professional/working knowledge.

• Experience in Cassandra Data Model and Keyspace management.

• Experience in JSON scripting.

• Experience in Build Cassandra Cluster with multiple nodes and Upgrade Cassandra.

• Experience with DevOps technologies like Ansible, Python.

• Experience in Backup and recovery of Cassandra databases.

• Experience in Writing, monitoring jobs and Managing it.

• AWS Certified/Working knowledge in AWS/Cloud environment.

• Experience in Working knowledge on Cassandra, AWS, PostgreSQL.

  Even better you have:

• A degree.

• Experience in DevOps Technologies.

• Experience in Shell scripting.
