What you’ll be doing…

Being an advocate of Agile mindsets, behaviors and processes, the Agile Coach will be helping teams perform well by instilling an Agile mindset and methodology through coaching, improving team processes and championing continuous improvement. The Agile Coach with a deep understanding of the organization and team processes will add value with broader perspective of having seen other teams go through the same transition before.

• Champion continuous improvement of Agile events and practices.

• Actively facilitate team events leveraging digital and distributed team best practices to ensure full team engagement.

• Knows the important characteristics of user stories.

• Assess the team’s Agile maturity on a quarterly basis and derive insights and action plans to improve.

• Foster close cooperation across all team members.

• Facilitate communication and collaboration inside and outside the team.

• Shield the team from external interference.

• Represent the team’s perspective at the Scrum of Scrum events.

• Identify trade-offs to drive shared Vision.

• Track progress and achievement of the team’s OKRs and KPIs.

• Support the Product Owner in all agile events.

• Actively address impediments so that the team can remain focused on its goals.

• Foster self-organization and growth within the team.

• Generate agile mindset across all team members.

• Build a trusting and safe environment.

What we’re looking for…

You’ll need to have:

• This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

• Four or more years of relevant work experience.

• Four or more years of experience in Agile, including two or more years as an Agile practitioner and three or more years as an Agile Coach.

• Experience in coaching multiple Agile teams that are geographically distributed.

• Experience in applying concepts and techniques from multiple Agile approaches including Scrum, Kanban and extreme programming.

• Deep experience in Agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).

• Experience in coaching, mentoring and training people in Agile methodologies.

• Experience with (organizational) change management.

Even better if you have:

• Master’s degree.

• Strong communication skills with ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions.

• Openness to new ideas and desire to develop them together.

• Self-awareness of cognitive biases and potential impact on decision making.

• Focused on building high performing teams, developing team members and delivering outcomes that matter to organization.
