Visa Hiring for Software Engineer – Sr. Consultant level at Bangalore, India Full Time

Would you like to help create the next major innovation in and around the payment landscape pioneering and leveraging the most advanced devices, hardware, and software in the world, anything and everything in and around the world’s largest payment ecosystem? We’re looking for a seasoned individual to drive game-changing innovation in and around Visa’s partner ecosystem for Asia Pacific. You should have experience building multi-skilled teams capable of rapid prototyping new ideas. You will be at the forefront of strategic partnerships, breakthrough technologies, new ideas, hackathons, demos, and rapid prototyping. You will work closely with business development teams, partners, and internal product teams and cross-leverage engineering talent internally and externally. Responsibilities : * Be at the heart of developing new ideas into demo-able products * Drive rapid prototyping cycles from technical requirements, software designs, programming, debugging, and optimization * Work alongside and collaborate with UX, product engineering, and partner teams to deliver products, features, services, and tools * Explore and innovate new technologies, features, and tools * Consult on a regular basis with leadership to align expectations and deliverables * Be resourceful and leverage the small team to the fullest to work on multiple parallel POCs and incubation efforts. * Use stubs as needed to simulate capabilities lighting up in the near future. * Work collaboratively across team boundaries to share common infrastructure and functional capabilities. Provide feedback to core product teams to influence their roadmap and strategy Most important qualities for the candidate are: * Academics : Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field * Leadership : leading solutions and working with teams to achieve it. * Curiosity : A desire to seek clarity of requirements and why tasks are done a certain way * Creativity : The ability to take a list of needs and insights and come up with other innovative ideas. * Strategic focus : Skill to understand big picture and stay focused on task to achieve goals * Attention to detail : The capability to perform any research systematically and accurately * Strong work ethic : The innate drive to do work extremely well * Enthusiasm : A passion to understand people and deliver better products and services to them This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs. • Bachelors and/or Masters in Computer Science Engineering with 10-14 years’ experience • Practical skills on internet scale systems design, ability to make choices of technologies, guide the team in implementing the above. • Expert level skills in Java • In-depth knowledge of data structures implementation and optimization • Expert level skills in multi-threading, concurrency, and error-handling • Expert level skills in implementing design patterns (singleton, facade, factory, observer etc.) • Experience building enterprise scale web services (RESTful), and their scalability, resiliency, and availability • Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, application design, and implementing large components for enterprise projects Desired qualifications: • Experience in building ODATA compliant REST services • Experience in language features such as lambda expressions, generics, and streams • Experience implementing multiple cross cutting concerns and non-functional requirements using aspect oriented programming (viz. aspectJ) • Experience in payments tech industry • Experience building application frameworks or reusable components Visa has adopted a COVID-19 vaccination policy.
