Corporate Tools and Application Support provides technical and functional support across Visa Corporate Production Applications majorly in domain areas of Corporate Finance, Financial Planning, Payment systems and Risk, Corporate Analytics, Legal Risk and Compliance, Project Portfolio management, IT Service management, Human resources, and Learning Management. We ensure all the production applications are up and running and are available for the users to do their daily business activities. Our top priority is to handle Incident, Request, Problem management and co-ordinate Changes in the production applications. Our area of expertise includes building new tools, Automations, Upgrades, Service Analytics, DevOps Support – End user technical and functional Support activities, Emergency Bug fix, Production Migration, Application Upgrade Support, Handling batch Jobs, Job monitoring and status reporting aligning to CORE CRE principles of Agility, Analytics, Automation, Resilience and Monitoring. Key Responsibilities: * Provide strong hands-on technical and Functional expertise in Hadoop eco system tools such as Apache Hadoop, Big Data, Hive, Python, Core Java etc. * Liaise with internal business and IT groups (such as database administration, infrastructure support, development) in performing support activities, system configuration and standard functionality analysis for enhancement requests. * Understanding of data and business processes. * Responsible for global Customer Service, including end-user support and education and issue troubleshooting and resolution for all users of the Payment Systems and Risk (PSR) application Production systems. * Support Business as usual requests for PSR Production Systems. * Support and coordinate the deployments in Hadoop eco systems. * Interface with external software vendors for product issue troubleshooting and resolution, initiating Vendor Service Requests as necessary, as well as SRs with other 3rd Party Vendors. * Adhere to defined support policies, procedures, and service levels with an understanding of SOX related IT controls. * Expected to critically evaluate customer service requests and incidents to prioritize own workload, determine potential global and/or cross-modular impacts, determine temporary procedural work-around where feasible and communicate to the broader group of impacted parties. * Proactively identify, evaluate, and communicate ideas for process improvements and training needs both for applications usage by customers as well as for internal processes and skills enhancement * Provide support to strategic initiatives as assigned including, but not limited to, system configuration testing of applications and process enhancements, upgrades and new solutions, ensuring sound knowledge transfer to assume post-implementation support role. This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs. • 5+ years’ experience with Hadoop Eco systems and related tools such as Apache Hadoop, Big Data, Hive, Python, Core Java etc. • Experience in Hadoop eco systems Administration. • Knowledge of database concepts, systems architecture, and data structures is a must • Experience with Mysql, Oracle databases and SQL development. • Good understanding of BI reporting tools architecture • Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows • Process oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Work independently with minimal supervision • Should be able to work on weekends to support the application and infrastructure maintenance activities. • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise way. • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong automation and customer mindset. • Present solutions to key stakeholders and demonstrate working software to leads and management. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
