Visa Hiring for Staff Data Engineer at Bangalore, India Full Time

Visa is seeking a Staff Data Engineer in the Data Platform department to act as one of key technology leaders to build and manage Visa’s technology assets in the Platform as a Service organisation. As a Staff Data Engineer, you will work on Open source Platforms Enhancements. You will have the opportunity to lead, participate, guide, and mentor other engineers in the team on design and development. This position will be based in Bangalore, KA and reporting to Director of Engineering. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline. With 8+ years of software development experience in building large scale data processing platforms. Proficiency in engineering practices and writing high quality code, with expertise in either one of Java or Python Experience in building platforms on top of Big Data open source platforms like Hadoop/Hive/Spark/Tez. Experience in building applications on top Kubernetes and containers. Contributions to one or more Big Data Open Source Technologies like Hadoop/Hive/Spark/Tez etc will be an added plus. Experience in building Cloud Data Technologies. Experience in Building platforms on top of Cloud Data Stacks. Visa is an EEO Employer.
