As a manager within the India Solutions Engineering team, you have an unique opportunity to inspire, grow and lead an incredibly talented team of Solutions Engineers & architects in India IT-ITES segment. You will be pinnacle in the development and execution of the local priorities and go-to-market strategy for IT/ITES segment for VMware in India. You will be a critical pillar in the bridge between a technical solution and the positive business outcome for our customers and partners.
You & your team will work with our customers who are transforming their applications across multi cloud, enabling distributed work force and driving end to end security. In this role you will be able to utilize your customer facing skills to fullest while representing VMware within a customer’s environment and drive discussions with client execs (CTO, CDO, Enterprise Architects). Here you will be able to demonstrate your ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

Lead the India IT-ITES segment Solution Engineering team
Understanding our vision and priorities as a company
Understanding your local team strengths and areas of improvement
Eliminate speedbumps and potential blockers for your immediate team and wider SE community
Proactively engaging with peers within solution engineering, BU, engineering, channel and sales to establish common goals
Collaborate with the India Sales IT-ITES segment manager and co-develop local plan for go-to-market priorities and build pipeline
After that it will be:
Coach and grow local talent
Help define and grow the VMware India culture
Grow adoption of VMware solutions within our customers and partners
Proactively engage in the wider Solution Engineering Manager team
Maintain and grow your professional network
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
As the Solution Engineer Manager, you will be engaged with both the Sales and SE teams to identify opportunities and to drive the adoption and understanding of how VMware solutions drive positive customer outcomes
You will be the trusted leader for segment SEs and make sure that we facilitate an environment where the individual SEs can flourish
You will use your local knowledge of the market to help prioritize the skills needed and both identify any gaps and develop plans for upskill where needed
Additionally, you will be tightly connected to the sales segment manager and you will co-own the local plan
Help develop solution architecture & design proposal for customer that enable them to deploy workloads and applications (conventional and
Lead your team to advise on building Cloud strategy. Develop and demonstrate understanding on software defined data centres, containers, micro-services and DevSecOps practices, end user solutions, cloud, endpoint and network security.
Leverage platforms like VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP
Leverage infrastructure components like Load Balancers, Network, HCI systems, VDI, device and end user app management.
Leverage network & Security components like software defined security, EDR/Workload Protection, NDR, XDR and workspace management and security etc.

The role will be reporting into the Director – Solutions Engineering. He comes with extensive experience in the industry and is leading India Enterprise Solution Engineering team.
