The role purpose is responsible for setting the strategy for Novartis data architecture and providing technical architecture direction for delivery of the target state and will be responsible for design and implementation of the enterprise wide data strategy, ensuring the strategy supports current and future business needs. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Oversee architectural activities for a specific business or technology domain, or architectural practice area, or manage the development of solution architectures for projects or programs within a business area. • Define standards and direction of architecture in the specific business or technical domain. Also define and develop the logical design and information management strategies necessary to store, move and manage data in a new target state. • Define, create and evolve the Architecture Governance Framework ( e.g. architecture methods, practices and standards ) for IT and utilize architecture patterns to suggest the most adequate utilization of technical platforms in support of the holistic solution architecture design. • Understand and advocate the principles of business and IT strategies, Be prepared to sell the Architecture process, its outcome and ongoing results, and to lead the communication, marketing or educational activities needed to ensure Enterprise Architecture success and use. nnnn Position Title: Director – Enterprise Data Architect – APD Minimum requirements: What you’ll bring to the role: • Bachelor’s degree in a computer science, engineering or information technology field. • 15+ years and above experience in the areas of IT, with 10 years of experience in Data Architecture. • Extensive experience in architecting and implementing Enterprise Data Lake, Master data Management, Data integration, ETL, BI & analytics platforms. • Strong knowledge of industry best practices in Data architecture both cloud based and on prem solutions. • Experience in the Big Data infrastructures (Hadoop, NOSQL, MapReduce, HIVE, HBASE, PIG),ETL etc. with understanding of data technologies such as Amazon, Azure, Data Lake, Big Data, EMR, Bi other analytics products • Good Knowledge of Data mining, Data Sciences, Visualization, and Machine Learning skills • Ability to lead implementation of CI/CD methodologies and deploy appropriate toolsets for automation on Data platforms, toolsets Desirable Requirements: • Certifications such in TOGAF, ITIL, AWS, , MDM, EDW are plus #Transformingforgrowth Why consider Novartis? 769 million lives were touched by Novartis medicines in 2022, and while we’re proud of this, we know there is so much more we could do to help improve and extend people’s lives.
