What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology and has deep experience in developing highly available and highly secured applications. This Member of Technical Staff – Gainsight Development role provides a unique opportunity to grow your career by deepening your product engineering expertise and providing requirement design opportunities. You will have opportunities to participate in requirement design discussions with product owners, by presenting data and valuable points of consideration to resolve problems. This implementation experience is critical for anyone with a passion in product engineering looking to broaden their technical acumen.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Understand and own the domain/services/components/applications
As IT Technical Staff you will be part of the VMware team that caters to Customer Success Business.
You will be key orchestrator with cross-functional teams for building out solutions on Gainsight and Salesforce platform that will make customer success operations run smoother, quicker, and smarter
As a Senior Developer you will not just develop features but also ensure the services run smoothly in production
You will all collaborate within the team and with cross-functional teams
You will be the SME for the services/applications you own
What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
Working with Salesforce’s Force.com platform and Customer Success platform (like Gainsight)
Preparing technical design documents and writing test cases
Achieving business outcomes while developing scalable and functional solutions
Develop highly scalable features/services and ensure availability of 99.99%
You will be the go-to person in solving technically complex issues
Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, Developers to find the best possible solution possible
Continuously improve the state of existing components and services
Perform engineering activities for performance tuning and deep monitoring of applications and services
Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly. Proficient in new and emerging technologies.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills – including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control.
Apart from the above, you will also contribute towards platform and service stability, mentoring junior developers, innovation, participating in hackathons, tech talks etc
