Our goal is to enable Workspace One Intelligence to scale and manage billions of devices across various operating system platforms and device types. Our team is seeking a Senior UI Engineer with 7+ years of strong technical and leadership skills. As part of the team, you will be providing technical leadership by driving the design and development of major UI/UX architecture. You will be owning engineering initiatives and champion a culture of high ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence. What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

• Within 15 days of employment, become competent with VMware’s rules, guidelines and standard operating procedures. Go through the new hire orientation and trainings.
• Within 1 month of employment, get hands-on with the product and its use-cases.
• Within 3-6 months of employment, learn the product area assigned to you in detail, the technology stack in use, become familiar with the project and features in the assigned domain, and get accustomed to the code base, release cycles.
• Within 6-9 months, become a subject matter expert with deep expertise on the key components of our UI/UX frameworks.
• Within 1 year of employment, participate in all phases of software development including requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging and performance tuning, handle the interactions with product management, UX team, backend team and other groups, internal and external to VMware, to define and deliver create delightful user experience.

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

• Delivering reusable, responsive, high performance and scalable UI feature and web components using Angular framework, Redux, NgRx, RxJs.
• Creating the next generation of data virtualization platform, delivering data insights through best-in-class dashboards and solutions.
• Writing extensive unit tests and automation (e2e) tests.
• Handling DevOps tasks for UI build (NPM, Jenkins, Docker, Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for CI/CD environments)
• Proficiency with Typescript, HTML5, Visual design, CSS and SASS
• Professional, precise communication skills

• Remote: The location of this role is from anywhere in India. Work will be done from remote location most of the time, however, must work from office location for some time based on the requirement.
