Staff Site Reliability Engineer – Tanzu Observability 100% Remote Opportunity- can work anywhere in India!

The Tanzu Observability by Wavefront Site Reliability Engineering team is growing with a laser focus on ensuring the Tanzu Observability SaaS offering operates reliably and at scale. We are a growing team which delivers a SaaS product that is used 24/7 by development and site-reliability teams at leading enterprises such as Lyft, DoorDash, Reddit, Snowflake, Intuit, Box, Workday, and many more! The fully-remote SRE team you’ll join is responsible for thousands of cloud instances in multiple regions at scale and our footprint continues to grow! You should be experienced and enjoy working remotely within a fully remote and distributed team.
What is the primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for? As a Staff level Site Reliability Engineer, you will help ensure that our Tanzu Observability infrastructure is well architected, leveraging the optimal services and technologies for each use case, and meets our scalability, availability, performance, and cost targets for our SaaS infrastructure that delivers our observability product. You will be working closely with software engineers, product managers, and the release team as you design and implement the necessary automation and infrastructure services that allow us to scale our footprint. In this role, you will take part in the on-call rotation. While on-call rotations are an important aspect of this role, we are looking for engineers who have a continuous commitment to increasing reliability, implementing and improving SLIs, and thus reducing the on-call load . We also need someone who is passionate about automation, infrastructure as a code, and configuration as a code, that will help drive improvements towards the availability, management, and visibility of Tanzu Observability by Wavefront’s infrastructure and services. What differentiates Tanzu Observability in the current observability landscape is our scalable and extremely powerful data platform and UI, and you will play a key role in taking our platform to the next level.

Prior to this Nikhil had more than a decade experience in managing teams running reliability and automation for critical SaaS offerings.
