ExcelHer Intern – Test Automation

What is the job?

As a Test Automation Engineer, you are part of a global team responsible for Testing ECUs and electronic network/system of a truck using automation right from component level to Truck Level. In this role you are required to find innovative methods to get the best results and to automate areas where regression testing is needed. You will be needed to collaborate with counterparts in other sites and actively take part in Cross Functional teams.

You are expected to have good programming and scripting skills preferably in C#, XML, Python and be familiar with diagnostic design of electrical architecture, systems, hardware and software. You will have to participate in Functional reviews to make sure that the functionalities defined are testable and a suitable test strategy can be identified and automated.

Qualifications and Profile:
B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech (Computer Science or Electronics and Communication) with 3 – 5 years of experience in testing of electronic controls in automobile industry

Embedded and/or automotive experience is a bonus as well as interest in testing.

C# & C++ experience is a must along with Good Programming and scripting skills preferably in C#,XML,Python

Good understanding and hands on Automation techniques and relevant tools in testing domainExcellent Knowledge of software tools on testing (J1587, CAN, Labview; Matlab etc.)

Good Communication, Project management, Problem solving and analysis skills

Exposure to ECU and electrical network testing skills

Jenkins, Subversion/GIT, Visual Studio, Unit Test (Google test), state machine modelling are involved in day to day work

Experience from product development within automotive industry

Good knowledge within diagnostic area and related standards e.g. ISO-14229, ISO-15765, SAE-J 2534 and ISO-13400

Familiar with diagnostic design of electrical architecture, systems, hardware and software

Good knowledge in Automotive Trouble Shooting of SW/Electrical systems

In vehicle testing, extensive truck knowledge or truck customer experience
