We are currently hiring a Senior Engineer-Chassis Equipment in Chassis Structure Equipment and Transport Adaptation (CSETA) to deliver best experience to customers through our cutting-edge technology products.

The CSETA Section within Chassis Engineering, under Vehicle Engineering GTT Bangalore has the responsibilities to develop components and systems like Chassis Structure, Battery Box, Fuel & Exhaust systems installation, Other Chassis suspended equipment for all Volvo trucks Brands.

The Group responsibility covers start cost projects, maintenance, component development, advance engineering across various Products in the Volvo GTT truck ranges.

In our work we have contact with stakeholders like Operations, Purchasing, After Market, Brand, Powertrain Engineering as well as Vehicle engineering colleagues in Global sites in Gothenburg, Lyon, Greensboro and Curitiba.

Job Description

The Senior Engineer – Chassis Equipment will contribute in the area of Air tank installation, rear fairing, fender, rear lighting installation, rear deck ladder, SUP and other Chassis equipment’s.

Core Responsibilities:
Leading in Design and development of Chassis Equipment components

Gathering all technical specifications and preparation of technical requirements document of the component.

Detailed development of concepts and lead in reviewing with cross-functional team

Product release for Concept, Development, and Industrialization

Work closely with supplier for development of components.

Addressing technical issues in coordination with the supplier and cross-functional team

Preparation of Agreement Documentation and Leading technical discussion.

Define the verification and validation needs and ensure the set targets conformance

In your work, there will be frequent topics to handle with Global XFs and Suppliers around the world. Hence it is required to establish right participation & contribution to Advance Engineering and roadmaps as well.

Required Competencies:
B.E/M.E. – Mechanical/Automobile Engineering with Relevant experience of 8-10 years

Hands on work experience in similar automotive- Chassis Equipments

Experience in heavy commercial vehicle industry will be an added advantage

Knowledge of product design & development cycle (E2E)

Design of Sheet metal, complex casting components and plastics.

Good knowledge and application of GD&T and 3D Tools (Creo)

Understanding of Digital Validation reports like CAE- Durability

Establish a Strong Network with Global Counterparts and Cross functions.

Agile way of working knowledge is an added advantage.
