Responsibilities:
Our Procurement & Logistic Officer has responsibility for coordinating day-today operations of Procurement. You will direct and coordinate the procurement of materials, components, supplies, and services essential to the operation of a product group. This includes identifying and implementing best-in-class sourcing practices which align to corporate objectives. You will provides leadership, mentoring, and training as well as supporting centralized company procurement policies and practices.
Job Responsibilities:
Review purchase order requisitions for completeness and accuracy
Work with global category managers to develop a sourcing strategy for high value orders
Issue request for quotes to approved suppliers
Prepare and issue purchase orders
Negotiate best value and monitor order progress maximizing OTD performance
Actively communicate with internal and external contacts
Drive improvements in lead time, cost and customer service as well as proactively responding to changing customer demands
Insure compliance to export requirements and Trade Compliance policies
Assist Accounts Payables in the resolution of problems associated with invoices.
Work closely with the onsite team and assigned regional buying teams to identify standardization / efficiency opportunities and share best practices.
Balance delivery of day to day activities with proactively identify and resolve issues and concerns
Perform other duties as assigned with highest standard of business ethics while conforming to Weatherford Quality and Procurement Policy, as well as other applicable policies and procedures
QUALITY
Responsible for being familar with the Company’s Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford’s Management System.
Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business.
OPERATIONS
Work individually and as a team to setup, assemble, and run test programs for various oilfield completion tools to meet test qualifications outlined by industry standards or specific engineering teams. Maintain testing equipment through scheduled maintenance and keep lab and testing areas clean. Provide support for the engineering teams as needed to meet their testing goals.
This is the intermediate level job. Under close supervision, has responsibility to work with and support engineers who use the test data to improve the quality of products and their processes.
May record and interpret test data. Resolves routine questions or problems, referring only complex issues to a higher level.
Prepare Specifications For Purchase Of Materials And Equipment.
Maintaining equipment in good working order.
Gathering test parts, equipment, and set up tests using overhead hoists and/or forklifts.
Perform and maintain inventory of test parts and equipment.
Operating test equipment (Hydraulic Pumps, Induction Heater Systems, Manual and Pneumatic Valves, etc.)
Conclude test setups and store equipment properly.
Maintain the appearance of office, lab, and grounds of the facility.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Carry out work assignments to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Train/mentor less experienced employees.
COMMUNICATION
Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external.
Collaborate with other engineering staff to meet assigned project and testing goals .
FINANCIAL
All employees have an accountability to the organisation to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses.
Costs incurred should be within approved budget and processed within agreed time frames and following the relevant financial policy and procedure.

Qualifications:
5-8 + years of experience
College/University Degree qualified
Good verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of billing practices and controls.
Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Ability to effectively work with employees, supervisors, vendors and customers.
General computer knowledge including the use the Microsoft Office programs.
PREFERRED
Knowledge of raw materials: pipe, tube, flat rolled steel, castings and rubber molded products.
Knowledge of production processes, quality control, cost and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
