Job Description
Intermediate level experience in Data Centre administration/ System Administration in Windows & Linux
Strong Windows & Linux Fundamentals, good understanding on the various subsystems (memory, storage, networks, etc.)
Asset management – keep the DC asset list current and create periodic reports
Keen attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
Coordinating with other IT staff members to ensure that all components of the data centre are functioning properly
Basic knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, Routing, HA & Load Balancing
Effective in prioritizing and executing tasks
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Monitoring and performing on-going maintenance on servers and network equipment
Providing IT support to staff and customers, as well as responding to the server and network issues
Running hardware diagnostics and replacing failing parts in a timely manner
Collaborating with software and network engineering teams on cybersecurity and network efficiency
Upgrading internal system components, including CPUs, memory, hard drives, and network cables
Documenting processes and keeping event logs
Familiarity with various hardware & network equipment from various OEMs
Familiarity with a ticketing systems
Qualifications
Requires a minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant experience with an Associates or bachelor’s degree.
Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
Desired to have Microsoft, AWS, AZURE certification
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
