ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: A candidate in this position shall be responsible for the below functions but not limited to the following * Lead a group of engineers on NVMe SSD Validation that design, develops and delivers the firmware verification tests for SSD products. * Identify future validation strategies including defining validation infrastructure and validation methodologies. * Work with customer facing team to understand field bugs and lead the team to enhance the validation coverage. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams and identify validation framework and automation enhancements. * Do troubleshoot and analyze complex problems * Do multi-task and meet deadlines * Proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment * Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people Must have: 1. Knowledge of NAND flash and/or other non-volatile storage technologies. 2. Experience/Knowledge working in storage interfaces/protocols like PCIe, NVMe, SAS/SATA, SCSI etc 3. Experience in a hardware testing/software testing validation lab Solid State Drive (SSD) and/or Hard Disk Drive (HDD) 4. Possess experience in Software quality(SQA) methodologies and practices 5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, reporting and tracking bugs & triaging issues 6. Automation experience in any one of the scripting language 7. Self-learner, excellent interpersonal skills & communication skills Good to have: 1. Experience working with Windows/Ubuntu Linux, and VMware Experience with Oakgate Servers 2. Experience/Knowledge in Storage concepts(SAN,DAS,NAS), RAID, Networking concepts. 3. Experience/Knowledge on any of the mobile platform storage devices and its protocol testing. 4. Experience in Automation frameworks 5. Experience/Knowledge on Various Tools used in storage domain. Education: BE/ B.Tech, ME/ M.Tech Western Digital thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
