Project description

Part of the Pay TV business of Xperi, the Cloud-based TiVo Service allows for simple integration, flexible deployments and scalability. It powers the entire user experience and enables personalized content discovery plus IPTV features, such as IP Linear, IP Video-On-Demand, Restart, Catch-Up and Network DVR (nDVR). Real time provisioning, changes in catalog and program guides while providing a consistent experience across various platforms like Linux STB, Android Tv, Mobile apps is always a challenge we relish.

Job purpose:

Successful candidates will be part of Service Console team.

Using some of the latest tools and technologies, you will develop, enhance, and maintain features in the TiVo service while continuously improving the efficiency, scale, observability, resiliency and availability of the cloud services (both public and private). This will involve developing APIs and stream processing applications.

Here’s what you get to do:

You would be responsible for translating concepts into user flows, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences. Develop E2E product functionalities, UX design and user-testing experiences for web products with high-quality code.

Work with a team of talented software engineers through the entire development cycle, from design through deployment and monitoring.

Work with Architecture, Development, QA, and other engineering groups to define, build, and evolve into a world-class software development organization.

Provide on-going product maintenance and enhancements to production applications.

Proactively identify opportunities for improvement

Who we are looking for?

Qualifications

Must Have Skills:

· Strong with Core Java

· Good knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot framework

· Experience with web services platform using Apache/Tomcat, XML/JSON and MySQL

· Hands-on with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

· Experienced with any UI framework like Bootstrap, React, jQuery etc. (React preferred)

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have:

· Exposure to other high-level programming and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Perl

· Prior experience with Scrum/Agile, Git

· Experience working in a Unix/Linux development and build environment

· Experience with Cloud Services (ideally AWS)

Education & Industry Experience:

· Computer Science Engineering graduation or post-graduation degree from reputed Indian or foreign university

· 5+ years of relevant industry experience

Top 3 primary skills and expertise level requirements ( 1 to 5; 5 being expert)

1. Java, Spring, Spring Boot frameworks (5)

2. Web Service platform, HTML, CSS, JavaScript,UI frameworks(4-5)

3. SQL databases (3-5)
