Grassroot Fellow

(Grassroot Academy @ Youth4Jobs)

Maharashtra Region

• You will be responsible for operations of Grassroot Academy in the District level
• Evaluate and identify the grassroots geographies (villages, blocks, districts) required for program’s effective outreach.
• Ensure Grassroot Academies are established as per the timelines and within the stipulated scope and budget.
• To successfully complete and get certified in Grassroot Fellowship program which would be spanning for a year
• Recruiting Grassroot Coordinators as per the mobilization requirements.
• Coordinating strategic grassroots campaigns. Manage the Grassroots’ Operations budget and program activities for initial field advocacy including major campaign initiatives.
• Keep abreast of best practices and trends in grassroots advocacy, and support fellow grassroot team members.
• Meet funder targets working with the team.
• Mobilize youth with disabilities using various mobilization strategies.
• Network with organizations working with Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
• Attend meetings with NGOs and plan for identification, mobilization and screening of PwD candidates.
• Enroll the eligible candidates in the training program.
• Counsel the youth with disability during the training.
• Preparing centre level documents as per the formats designed by Organization, and time share with concern reporting authority.
• Coordinate with existing partner for On Job Training (OJT) and placement of trained candidates.
• Connect with various corporates from different sector to generate job opportunities for persons with disabilities in around district.
• Report writing, documentation and data management.
• Organize post placement support to the placed youth with disability like making them comfortable in their new working environment, being in contact with them post placements and counselling them in the first few months of their job to ensure retention of job.

Criteria for eligibility –

• You must have completed your Graduation.
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Good connections with PWD candidates, SHGs, Anganwadies, Communities, Government offices

(related to PWDs), NGOs, Industries, and other social activities District-level organisation

Travel Allowance: 200/- per day

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to ₹15,000.00 per month
